Lunar New Year 2026 — Year of the Fire Horse
On February 17th, we welcome the Year of the Fire Horse — a rare and powerful convergence that occurs only once every sixty years. Also known as the Red Horse Year, 2026 is viewed as a year of optimism and opportunity.
The Horse is known for its energetic and dynamic nature. It symbolizes vitality, speed, and perseverance — qualities amplified when paired with the Fire element, which ignites passion, courage, and creative force. The Fire Horse represents strength in motion: the drive to pursue ambitions fearlessly, to break through limitations, and to welcome change with open arms.
As the 7th animal of the Chinese zodiac, the horse is also associated with success and good fortune. Just like when a victorious horse arrives at the battlefield, the Chinese phrase "马到成功" represents achieving success swiftly and smoothly, even at the first attempt.
The creative force for this year's 2026 Lunar New Year flowers at Kado Flower Studios were inspired by that of the Red Fire Horse — deep reds, melting oranges and fiery yellows.
